I live and write in the Kingdom of Fife, overlooking the River Tay, with a view of trees and grey slate roofs and a skyscape it would be hard to better.

This is beautiful, gut-wrenching and so moving. What a world we lived in, and what clear, strong insight cuts through all the violent posturing in the name of religion or political policy.
